Charles Huyck, Pastor

Charles Huyck is a 4th generation Evangelist/Pastor.  Charles has a passion to preach the Word of God, and a desire to see people transformed by the Holy Spirit through the knowledge of the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ!  

Charles attended Calvary Chapel Bible College and also Liberty University at the Master’s Degree level where he completed classes towards a Biblical studies degree.  Charles is the founder of SOG Missions, a non-profit ministry combining physical combative techniques and spiritual warfare principles from the Word of God.  Throughout his life, Charles has trained, assisted, conducted seminars, and served on several Church Security teams in the United States utilizing knowledge from his past experience in the U.S. Armed Forces and as a federal agent. 

Charles retired from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in 2015 where he had served as Resident Agent in Charge of the Miami Field Office, Coast Guard Investigative Service. While in Miami, Charles served as one of the Pastors/Evangelist for Everglades Correctional Institute in Miami, Florida and led a weekly Bible study there for many years.

Since leaving federal service, Charles began full time ministry through SOG Missions, and trained and evangelized thousands of Colombian Police and Military, and discipled hundreds of men through the SOG Missions program.  Charles has preached in Churches throughout Central and South America as a missionary and evangelist, and has led mission trips most notably in El Salvador, Peru, Colombia, Argentina, and Nicaragua. 

Charles invites everyone to come fellowship and be inspired by the hearing of the Word, and worship our Lord through prayer, communion, singing, and praise!  In the words of Jesus, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”   John 10:10

“To know HIM more”, is a central theme of Charles’s message, and one that has profound implications on a person’s life.   “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope” Jeremiah 29:11

Charles is the father of three children, Charles David Huyck, Jr., Adam Jordan Huyck, and Jori Allison Reeves.  He is married to Maria Elena Huyck of Bucaramanga, Colombia.
